HHHS Education Board Approves Grad Scholarship Fund

Dear Friends,

Whether you graduated from Haddon Heights High School 5, 25, or more than 50 years ago, you can probably still recall the feeling of excitement and promise that came with thoughts of the future. As each graduate ponders the possibility of “what comes next?,” costs associated with the chosen path are always a consideration. I’m pleased to announce that the Haddon Heights Board of Education has approved a brand new scholarship opportunity for deserving 3HS grads.

Through a partnership with the Community Foundation of South Jersey (CFSJ), beginning in June of 2017, the top 10 graduates (as determined by GPA at the end of the third marketing period) will each receive $500 to be used for non-tuition expenses (including room and board, fees, and books). The foundation will work directly with students’ colleges to ensure that this grant acts as a supplement to any awards already given.

Thanks to the generosity of a fellow Haddon Heights graduate, we are already at 50% of our $20,000 goal for this year! Will you lend your financial support to this worthwhile project? I ask that you consider making a secure, tax-deductible donation to this fund for deserving 3HS students. Every gift, large and small, can help!

To learn more or to make a donation, please visit our web page at http://www.communityfoundationsj.org/3hs_top10/ or contact Mary McShane Vaughn at mvaughn98@gmail.com.

Many thanks,

Paul DeMartini
